6061 is one of the most versatile and widely used heat-treatable alloys. Its characteristics include good machinability, weldability, and moderately high strength in the T651 condition, can be cold formed in the T651 temper, and formability is better in the T451 temper. It also has excellent corrosion resistance to atmospheric conditions and seawater. Anodizing is readily accepted through conventional processes. Farmer’s stocks thicknesses from .063 thru 3” thick for a wide variety of uses and industries.
