Copper alloy 936 or Modified SAE 64 has advantages over other leaded bronzes such as: bearings run cooler, less tool wear, corrosion resistant, better survival of interruptions in lubrication, better machinability, and resists pounding over other bearing materials. C936 bronze applications are used in steel mills, oil refineries, and compressor manufacturers.
