Aluminum Sheet and Plate
Farmer's Copper maintains an inventory of aluminum sheet and plate. Aluminum’s most rewarding properties is its high resistance to corrosion due to the oxide film it naturally forms when it is exposed to air. Alloy 3003 has moderate strength, good workability and weldability, and high resistance to corrosion. Alloy 5052 is excellent for saltwater corrosion, good workability, and good weldability and has higher strength than 1100 or 3003 alloys. 6061 is one of the most versatile and most widely used heat-treatable alloys. It has good formability and high resistance to corrosion, with moderate strength.
ATP-5: 5xxx series aluminum, is precision machined on both sizes to +/-.005" , with a guaranteed flatness less than 1/2” is equal to .005" or better. Above 1/2” is equal to .015" or better. ATP-5 has outstanding machinability, excellent high-speed cutting rates, and exceptional feed rates, all of which contribute to reducing machining time and improving efficiencies.
